It never ceases to amaze me how, even though we live and work together, I always have the best times with Kate. A day spent button shopping and mall hopping proved to be filled with hilarity and silly poses. At the risk of being a total sap, I feel blessed to have such a lovely lady to call my bestie!
Thanks to Cierra who posted an interview with yours truly today. Hop on over to her blog to check it out!
Thrifted skirt, fabric (tied as turban headwrap), tee, blazer, boots. Hue striped sheer tights.
I know that it comes and goes as a trend, but I'm not sure I'll ever get over mixed prints. I love the idea of playing with patterns as though they were solids, and matching tones in whimsical ways. How do you feel about print mixing?
I don't know if any of you fellow bloggers feel this, but sometimes I doubt whether or not an outfit is "post worthy". Most of the time, if I've taken the time to document the outfit, it ends up on here, even if I think it's a little boring. After all, this is a forum to share what I wear daily, not just the outfits I really like, right? I kind of feel like this one of those, but hopefully it doesn't put you to sleep.
Thrifted suspender skirt. AA rummage sale sheer Big T. H&M shoes.
PS. If you live in NYC, I highly suggest you hit up R29 Reserve. Frock NYC has an amazing 60% off voucher that I really wish I could buy... if only I lived in the Big Apple!!!
Arabella Ramsay's pieces play like a vintage wardrobe, mix and matched into something unique. The Winter 2011 collection features some sick patterns (and pattern mixing!). I keep discovering Australian designers who make my dream clothes...perhaps I'm meant to live down under? Don't be surprised if you see a lot more Aussie and Kiwi designers around these parts...
Now that the turkey's gone and there's no more stuffing...how about some shots of what Christmas was to me? The first set is from the annual trip to the mall to take pictures with Santa with two of my very good friends, Sarah and Katie. The sweaters were hand decorated by us 4 years ago, and yet, the crappy decorations stay. The point is to achieve the most ridonk Santa picture possible, I will post this years as soon as I scan it in! As you can see, I also had lovely family time, delicious dessert wine (with the cutest label!) and fun times with my kitty, Charli! I really wish I could steal her away from my mom's house, over the break she both climbed into the Christmas tree and tried to blog. I am head over heels in love <3
By now, I'm sure many of you know I have a major girl crush on Hannah Metz. She's got red hair, an amazing vintage wardrobe and is sweeter than apple pie in real life! Not only is she visually inspiring, she's also got mad talent. Very soon Hannah (and her business partner's) beyond delicious line of vintage inspired undies will be coming out. I hope, by some miracle, that I can get my hands on some! I can't think of a better way to look good undressed.
